Who's Jesus? A secondary God?

by Isabella

The 44th chapter of Isaiah's letter is very revealing in some respects regarding the opinions of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Statement 1:

They say that Jesus is "also a God", that is, a secondary God – subordinated to Jehovah – but still "ONE God".

They make this assertion only because the Gospel of John clearly states: "the word was GOD". But in order not to shake their teaching – they inserted the word "ONE" before God – so it became a false translation: "the word was a God". Notwithstanding the fact that there are no indefinite articles at all in ancient Greek, they vividly violate the warning of Revelation 22 verses 18 and 19.

Against every logical conclusion, they also disregard several biblical passages, where God, the Almighty, himself again and again unmistakably says that he is the only God there is – there are no other gods – even if they are called gods – so they do not exist anyway. Among the many biblical passages that confirm this, one can also be found, of which the "Jehovah's Witnesses" seem to justify their name.

Isaiah 43:10-12 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen, that ye may know, and believe me, and know that I am. There is no God made before me, neither shall there be any after me. I am the LORD, and there is no Saviour besides me. I have shewed it, and have helped, and have told you; and there was no strange God among you. Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and I am God.

Also this interpretation, that they are witnesses for God, is simply wrong. For they do not know the ONE SINGLE God, Jesus Christ, the only Saviour, who revealed himself as a human being, because the Jehovah's Witnesses make Jesus into a second God, a created co-creator.

The fact that there is only one God is also read in Genesis 33:37-40 or Genesis 20:2-3 or Genesis 34:14, also in Genesis 6:4-5 + Genesis 32:39 + Genesis 1 Samuel 2:1-2 + Genesis 1 Samuel 7:22 + 2 Samuel 22:32 + Psalm 18, 31-32 + Psalm 83:19 + Isaiah 45, 18-21 + Isaiah 46, 9 + Hosea13:4.

In Genesis 4:35, 5, "It was shown to you, that you might know that the Lord is God, and none but Him alone." And verse 39 "So therefore today you shall know, and take it to your heart, that the Lord is the only God above in heaven and below on earth, and no one else".

As Isaiah said at the beginning in chapter 44,6-8: "Thus speaks the Lord king of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last, and besides me there is no God. And who calls like me, and preacheth, and doeth likewise unto me, from the time that I have established an everlasting people? Yes, what is to come and what is to come, let them announce it! Fear not and be not afraid. Haven't I already told you and told you? You are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? No, there is no other rock, I know none!"

Interesting is also verse 4 from 1 Corinthians chapter 10, where it says that Christ is the rock and above all also Revelation 1,17-18: "And when I saw him, I fell down at his feet as if dead. And he laid his right hand on me and said to me, "Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last and the living; and I was dead, and behold, I live from eternity to eternity, amen!"

Or 2,8 "And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write: This says the first and the last who was dead and has come to life".

Statement 2:

Jehovah's Witnesses want to use the biblical passage in Proverbs 8, where the wisdom of God is at stake, to prove that Jesus was the "master of work" of God – that is, a subordinate, created God – who created the world in cooperation with their "Jehovah".

An absolute contradiction in all imaginable ways.

1 A created being cannot be creator at the same time!

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. This was with God in the beginning. All things came into being through THAT SAME; and WITHOUT the same, NOT ONE thing came into being WHAT IS EXISTING!

We all agree that the Word is Jesus Christ Himself! GOOD! Now we try to understand John's inspired words, when it says that without the Word not one thing has arisen that has arisen. In other words, without Jesus Christ nothing was created that was created. This is where the false framework of a Jehovah's Witness begins to collapse, if Jesus is to be a created being! For if Jesus had been created, would he have created himself?

2 God Almighty, Only, Holy, Perfect, would never violate His own most important commandment and create a sub-god to be worshipped in His place.

As in Luke 24:51 and 52, among others: "And it came to pass, while He blessed them, He departed from them, and was lifted up into heaven. And they worshipped him and worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy."

The passage in John 9:36-38 is also very beautiful: "He answered and said, Who is it, Lord, that I may believe in him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast seen him, and he that talketh with thee is he. And he said: I believe, Lord! And he worshipped him and worshipped him."

Hebrews 1.6 And when he again introduces the firstborn into the world, he says: And all Angels of God shall worship him!

3 The fairy tale with the "work master" Jesus is an obvious lie because:

Isaiah 44:24 clearly states: (Schlachter2000) "Thus speaks the Lord your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: I am the Lord who FULLBLED EVERYTHING (who did it on the Cross?) – I stretched out the heavens, I ALONE, and spread out the earth by MYSELF."

(Luther Bible) "... I am the LORD who does all things, who spreads out heaven ALONE and makes the earth wide WITHOUT HELP.

(Elberfelder) "... I, Jehovah, am the one who works everything, who stretched out the heavens, I ALONE, spread out the earth through MYSELF.

Colossians 1,16-17 For in Him (Jesus) all things were created that are in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things are created THROUGH him, and FOR him.

John 1, 11 He came into his property, and his own didn't take him in.

Well, "the whole scripture is inspired" and doesn't contradict itself! Only false doctrines can contain absurdities, because untruths are simply mixed with the truth. But Scripture is accessible to everyone "for correcting things". Free your minds from human teachings and fully accept Scripture. Even if not everything is to be understood humanly, we must not exchange the glory of the imperishable, almighty God with the image that resembles the perishable man. Jehovah's Witnesses have unfortunately exchanged the truth of God for a lie and have given glory and worship to the creature instead of the Creator who is praised for eternity! Amen! (Romans 1:22-25)
