The Watchtower Society teaches its people that Jesus was not God and thus one had not to worship him. That would be blasphemy and idolatry, for Jesus was merely a kind of additional deity and not the Almighty. This doctrine has been read very cannily into the Bible, in order to keep away the people from the only possibility of salvation. Anyone who once is captured by the logic of the Watch Tower Society, will get extreme difficulties in ever finding Jesus, who is actually God, the Almighty God, became man, executed, and rose on the third day.
How do you deal with passages from the Bible, where Jesus utters things, which refute the Watchtower Society completely?
Jesus clearly states that the same attention (glorification, worship, praise) of man appertains to him that, even in his times on earth, people gave the father. This he expresses in the present tense, which means that it is valid for all times. At all times has to be no difference between the worship of the Father and the Son.
Jesus sharpens this statement even when he says that anyone who renounces the same worship of the Son, as he gives to the Father, does not in fact honor the father.
The Watchtower Society teaches exactly the opposite: Good works out of own power! Build up by good works and a very controlled way of life a good position before the Jehovah! See Jesus as an example and teacher, but do not honor him, do not worship him, do not talk to him, do not thank him, too!
The Jehovah's Witnesses know Jesus only by hearsay. They do not have any personal contact to him, any connection, any personal relationship. They pump full themselves with Watchtower adapted stories about him and think that would be enough to know him. But the mere theoretical knowing can not replace the knowing of the person. The Jehovah's Witnesses are not allowed to know Jesus, because if they did, they otherwise would revere him. That would be deadly for the teaching of the Watchtower Society.
Who derogates the personal contact with Jesus categorically will never know who he is. Who classifies the conversation with Jesus as blasphemous, aims to prevent people from recognizing Jesus and to believe him. Who teaches that one may not have a personal relationship to Jesus, wants to ensure that people die in their sins.
The Watch Tower Society has only one goal: to prevent Jesus in the people!
