Johannes Greber is associated with the theology of the Watchtower Society, particularly as regards the idiosyncratic changes of the Bible.
But the parallels between the occultist Johannes Greber and the Watchtower Society are of far greater magnitude.
*WHICH TEXTS AND TEACHINGs THE WATCHTOWER SOCIETY HAS ASSUMED FROM J. GREBER?*
1. *Christ is not _the_ Son of God, *but only "The First" Son of God. A first among created equal, a so called: / primus inter pares "/ = an equal among equals. (From: Intercourse with the spirit world, J. Greber)
2. *The Son of God is in his pre-existence the Archangel Michael *Christ has a special position among the armies of ghosts. (From: Intercourse with the spirit world, J. Greber)
3. *John 1,1: "... and the word was / _a_ / God.* (Translation by J. Greber) This inspiration of J. Greber with the indefinite article "a" the Watchtower Society inherits verbatim. The texts to be criticized have this format! They are regularly interrupted by critical phrases that have the common typeface of this site, so that the reader can associate the paragraphs.
Already in the Book Review on "Johannes Greber - his life and his work" the theologian Dr. Erich Luban certifies the spiritualist Greber flatly: The new understanding of the Bible by Johannes Greber was become "gospel-like". To this strong statement the theologian Luban doesn't add one single conceptual fragment in order to prove his thesis tentatively or to rely it. He can rest assured that enough people who do not know the Gospel, will incorporate Greber's theological wisdom, and in this way probably never get to know Jesus for life.
(From: "The other Reality" 1/2000)
In a book review of "Johanns Greber - his life and his work," the theologian Dr. Erich Luban, 71332 Waiblingen, writes including:
"All religions have their origin in revelations, prophecies and prophetic visions. By these powers from the invisible world share with people in our world something that interests the questioning and searching people. These forces are looking to mediate replies the central question of the meaning of human existence on our planet; this is about the question of whys and wherefores of each individual. It's a modern philosophical principle: Anyone who cannot answer the question of whys and wherefores for every person, doesn't know to mediate any solution of the (often painful) question to the whys and forewhats (Sartre and Heidegger).
With this statement Dr. Luban already goes deeply into the areas that are not permissibly according to the Bible and contradict God's word definitely. The God of the Bible repeatedly commands his people to move away from magical rites and evocations, and to avoid every religious ritual ghost activity. Jesus comes to ghosts and demons in an extremely clear manner and He banishes them all. Whether white- or black-magic, whether "good" or "evil": Under the reign of Jesus ghosts and demons have no place in man or in the vicinity of humans. Also Jesus' disciples drove out demons and spirits at all times, without thinking about their origin and motivation.
For a Christian it is quite typical that he cannot make acquaintance with ghosts and demons, because he is completely protected from such things through Jesus. With the growth in Christ also connects by and by a very unique ability to judge such phenomena. Based on the guidance of Jesus the Christ recognizes that these spirits lie and with what techniques they enchant people.
Luban lifts all religions inclusive deep down man-eating voodoo cult on the base of knowledge production by ghosts and demons.
Pastor Johannes Greber (1874-1944), former Catholic priest, teaches us out of by "ministering spirits" gift of knowledge of the Bible impressive answers to three questions: How, where and what is the life of every human being.
The Watchtower Society states in their writings again and again, how useful the knowledge of the Bible is and what benefits could be drawn from it. Similarly Luban proceeds by calling ministering spirits as a help for the people and by neglecting to direct the question toward God, he directs the question only towards humans. Not God is the focus, but the desire of man and his I-related navel show: "How, where and why".
This I-related theology we find again and again in the facing away from God religious attempts of people to make something to serve them. The Watchtower Society drives this game even to the extent that it deceives the Jehovah's Witnesses, Jehovah would want to be subservient to men, and combines this easement of that Jehovah with conditions which it assembles freely, such as: Donations of money, life-long preaching work, mental submission, and from time to time ritual suicide by bleeding to death.
The God of the Bible, however, wants all people to come to life and leaves no doubt that he is not a vehicle of utility maximization. Jesus makes a claim on His disciples without providing them a view of profit. His so-called "benefit" is He Himself: the life!
For him became by the "gift of prophecy" or the "augury" (1. Cor. 12-14) the Bible a "living word of God".
Prophecies and divination are done among Christians never through media, spirits or announcements from another world by means of divine messengers. Prophecies and divination can happen among Christians only under the action of the Holy Spirit who does not consist of a collection of individuals, but who is the Spirit of God who was sent by Jesus to us as a replacement for Himself. This comforter looks at Christians and blocks by divine power every demonic spirits and ghosts of other persuasion.
The statement that the Bible has became alive for Greber due to the influence of those ministering spirits and demons, shows that Greber may not have been a Christian. Because for every Christian, the word of God is already alive on its own, and separates the joints and marrow, rumor and truth, demons and angels, gospel and unbiblical replacement designs. There is not one Christian on earth, whom the Bible becomes alive by required or permitted ghosts. For Jesus is the Word, become flesh, God Himself living in us, and dispelling any demonic power. The Bible becomes only alive for human through the Holy Spirit. Anybody who the flea lets put into his ear, ghosts and demons could make the Bible alive, is standign knee-deeply in the stinking mud of Satan, who wants us to sink, rubbing his hands.
That says that he no longer by the dogma of his religion aspired to clear the Bible , but by a way of speaking of God in the midst of the life of modern man.
What a diabolical cheek Dr. Luban shows here! This theologian says that God speaks through spirits and demons! These spirits and demons are represented, for example, by the hundreds in the literature of the Watchtower Society. Ministering spirits and demons are in fact God's way to communicate with the people? In the case of Jehovah - yes. However, the Jehovah of the Watchtower is really God? The God of the Bible can certainly not be that Jehovah, for next to the God of the Bible ministering spirits and demons don't happen as a form of communication of God. When angels appear in exceptional cases, they are clearly indentifiziert as an angel of God. Otherwise, it is always God Himself, who speaks to the people.
Jesus says: My sheep hear my voice. We can rely on the fact that He leads us in person, and that we do not have to rely on voices or phenomena from the afterworld to learn the will of God. He is in us and we in Him. This completely close constellation He calls even as a condition, so that we do not wither away and must be removed from the vine. This absolute oneness is removed by the Watchtower Society, by not translating "in", but "associated with". Thus, the absolute connection with Jesus is dissolved and the Watchtower Siciety is able to push itself as a "facilitator-mediator" like the Virgin Mary does between Jesus and the people. This division between man and Jesus also creates additional space for demons. Of these, the Watchtower has infinitely many on offer.
He did not stand still at the "dead letter" and the dogmatic understanding of his church, but discovered the secret of the Bible as the Word of God in personal concernment (2. Cor. 3, 6; cf. Rom. 7, 6, John . 6, 63).
The "dead letter, and the dogmatic understanding of the Catholic Church" are certainly reasons to ask God under the guidance of God's Word and to be guided by him, what has the quick effect to identify the errors and seductions of Catholicism and reject them. But all strategies that may lead out of the pool of Catholic heresies, are a bad trap as long as they are not tied to the name and the leadership of Jesus. This uses the Watchtower Society to full capacity without restriction. It leads awakening Catholics from the Mary-cult-rain into the demons-cullis. To lead people out of the one lying into the next, the Watchtower Society has many key points and structures together with the Catholic Church.
What John Greber experienced new by personal visions and through the mediation of "ministering spirits" (Heb. 1, 14), he describes centrally in his book "The contact to the spirit world of God, his laws and his purpose". Therein it becomes clear why Greber had to separate from his church and newly founded Christian faith on the lamp.
Precisely this attitude of the spiritualist Greber is the attitude of the Watchtower Society: The correct approach to critically examine the teachings of the Catholic Church, is secondary and the main activity is the theologically and spiritually untenable reinvention of another gospel with the help of spirits and demons. Not a word to Jesus, no thought of Jesus, no questions about his will. This absolute distance from Jesus is maintained continuously by both, the Watchtower Society as well as Johannes Greber. In Grebers religious aspirations Jesus is very far outside, in the Watchtower Society it is even forbidden to talk to Jesus and covered with a deadly taboo. Both Greber and the Jehovah's Witnesses, Jesus declassify at the end and dismiss Him from His divinity.
That this was essentially triggered by "spiritual manifestations" that makes many readers skeptical. In Christian circles, spiritualism is declined globally.
And not only that the impure believe in spirits, the by God banned turning to demons and their media, as a way to God, by that Jesus is made unnecessary as the way to God is accented, no, there are also the stupid Christians considered "correctly", who don't want to accompany such a path. How old-fashioned and how cranky! These Christians refuse any compensation of Jesus sweepingly! This is actually exactly the same cry of accusation, intoned by the Watchtower Society.
That comes from a by our religious culture shaped preconception: Through spiritualism speak "evil spirits" and "dead spirits". About these spirits Johannes Greber warns in all his publications.
Here, again, the 100% correlation between the spiritist Johannes Greber and the Watchtower Society attracts attention: Not the will of God as he meets us in the Bible plays a role, but a historical something that has this or that effect. God is not important and is not the foundation of our faith, but a botched traditionally drift, of course, something that has to be cleaned up. These tidiers of Christian history are here Johannes Greber and the Watchtower Society. The centering of man on the issue of faith is here again seen as the distinctive feature of both.
What the prophets of the Bible witness is a "positive spiritualism". With "spiritualism" is meant always manifestations of the unseen world; there are such of the invisible world of darkness and the unseen world of light. Of these, the Bible says in many contexts. What Johannes Greber in his life as a Christian was allowed to learn is the "realization" of this "positive spiritualism". Greber has thus completely separated himself from his Catholic tradition and conveyed the today questioning and seeking people impetus to "rethink". Rethinking represents the literal interpretation of the Bible concerning the by the church much-abused word "repent". The new understanding of the Bible by Johannes Greber became "evangelical".
This paragraph is bursting with lies and still reads itself quite fluently down. The literature of the Watchtower Society is similar. The rows of lie, there, are not to be cleaned up really easy, because a bigger part of it sounds very logical, because the foundations of the Watchtower thinking have been raised long ago from the lie to the status of truth.
Greber himself for me is a critical theologian. In his statements he is doing in a particular way against the confessional abuse of the absolution (the advice of the forgiveness of sins) and against the Trinity-doctrine. Much of what is stated as basic principles, is also confirmed by the hermeneutics (the methods of interpretation and explanation of text) of many theologians. That even within the evangelical "Augsburg Confession" (1530), some Catholic understandings were adopted, such as in matters of the Trinity, transubstantiation, the absolution and the succession is aware of any critical theologians. – No Christian should accept dogmatic teachings uncritically. To each applies the biblical principle: "Examine everything and keep the good! (1. Thess. 5, 21).
And for the crowning glory, the Bible is accessed to make the own lies appear as true. What Luban is lying here on pack, the Watchtower does also.
For critically thinking people Greber's work gives valuable, new ideas."
Greber's work consists in the elimination of Jesus and in the establishing of ghosts and demons as a directory to God. Johannes Greber did the low-budget job of a necromancer, as thousands of shamans and druids did before him. The purpose of the exercise is the elimination of true Christianity. The Watchtower Society continues diligently as the heir of Greber.
